Danielle Leigh McKinney-Elmore (D.L.) is a multidisciplinary artist and illustrator working and living in Chicago, IL. Her style is inspired by her love of bird watching and traditional detailed wildlife and botanical illustrations.
She layers delicate line work in watercolor, gouache and ink to create lush florals and striking specimens.
When she is not painting, drawing or working, Danielle can be found bird watching, reading, or enjoying a horror film or true crime podcast with her husband Christopher and their American Eskimo rescue dog, Ellie.
